Course Description:

Clemson Extension is pleased to offer an on-demand training that will be open from December 5, 2023 to January 20, 2024 for participants to enjoy. The class is tailored to organic, sustainable, small farms, new farmers, or experienced growers looking for more information on organic certification, cut flower and commercial flower production, and alternative and new technologies in weed management.  The class is FREE and can be viewed anytime and at the convenience of the participant.  No pesticide credits will be offered in this training.

Course Topics:

  • Introduction to Organic Certification
  • Specialty Cut Flower Production
  • Weed Management on Small Farms 

Course Requirements:

To successfully complete this course, you must watch all three of the full training video presentations. There are no pesticide credits offered with this training. 

Technical Requirements:

To participate fully in this course, you will need:

  • An active email address for the individual participating in the course.
  • A desktop computer or laptop (recommended): Canvas is available on mobile devices, but some content may appear differently.
  • Access to a high-speed internet connection.
  • A web browser compatible with Canvas: Chrome and Firefox are recommended.
  • Headphones or speakers (closed captioning also available).
  • Computer skills including Internet browsing, using email, typing, downloading files, and basic troubleshooting.
